Job Description

This position is a TEMPORARY, 2 MONTH POSITION leading up to the November 5th General Election. Open only to students with Federal Work-Study (FWS).

This is a NON-PARTISAN position. Campaigning for specific candidates is NOT permitted.

Expected hours of work per week: up to 20 hours total project hours from Sept-Nov 2024

Work Location & Hours: Carter 148 and Carter Lobby

Must be interested in learning more about the voter registration process to encourage and assist students to vote in the election.

Expected Duties include:

• Initiate conversations regarding registering students to vote in the General Election
• Encourage students to participate in in the General Election on Nov 5, 2024
• Answer questions regarding registering to vote
• Assist with voter registration by helping students find absentee ballots from their home state or to register students in the State of Georgia and completed GA forms.
• Internet searching. Helpful to bring their own laptop for searches.

Qualifications for Position:

• MUST have Federal Work-Study (FWS)
• Interest in the voting process
• Desire to see strong participation in voter turnout for the General Election Nov 5, 2024

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
