Job Details Job Functions:
Budget Review and Management:
Oversee and review project budgets, including staffing allocations, detailed work plans, and fee structures to ensure alignment with project goals and financial constraints.
Provide strategic financial oversight to project managers, ensuring they have accurate and timely financial reports, detailed budgets, and updated project forecasts.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare comprehensive pre-billing reports for project managers, ensuring accuracy and completeness before client submission.
Compile and analyze actual project costs, working capital requirements, and cost control measures.
Execute Purchase Price Variance (PPV) postings and monitor deviations to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
Revenue Management:
Monitor receivable income, support project managers in collections, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding invoices.
Generate, audit, and send invoices punctually to maintain a steady cash flow, addressing any discrepancies promptly to mitigate financial risks.
Contract and Budget Updates:
Update contracts based on client requirements, ensuring that all budget amendments are accurately reported and reflected in project financials.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, FASB), regulations, and internal control systems, implementing necessary adjustments as regulations evolve.
Special Projects and Additional Duties:
Participate in and perform special projects as required, providing financial insights and support to enhance project outcomes and organizational performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are highly desirable.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting role, with a significant focus on project accounting and financial management.
Demonstrated experience with full-cycle accounting, including the management of general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems, with the ability to leverage these tools for detailed financial analysis and reporting.
Strong capability in preparing and managing project budgets, financial forecasts, project invoicing, controlling, and billing processes.
Analytical Skills:
Expertise in analyzing capacity utilization, manufacturing deviations, and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) to support strategic decision-making.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
Communication and Organizational Skills:
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise financial reporting.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
