We are a leading manufacturing company seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a hybrid role that requires a blend of office and remote work. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role is integral to our Finance team and will assist in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Performing regular financial analyses to highlight the company's financial status and trends.
2. Managing the company's general ledger and conducting month-end and year-end close processes.
3. Preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts, and reconciling subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
4. Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
5. Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
6. Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
7. Managing supplier invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
8. Utilizing Excel functions such as pivot tables, vlookup, etc., to streamline and improve processes.
9. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
10. Collaborating with other departments to improve financial reporting and assist in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with functions such as pivot tables, vlookup, etc.
4. Experience in managing supplier invoices and conducting audits.
5. Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency in detailed financial analysis.
6. Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
7. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
