Summary

As a Staff Accountant, you will be a vital member of The RBH Group, LLC. Responsibilities include tax planning, research, and client communications in all areas of tax services: individual, partnership, corporate, trusts and non-profit organizations. This opportunity also includes assisting in the areas of audits, reviews, and compiled financial statements. Accounting support, payroll and various other services are also provided to our clients. Specific duties expected of this position are:

• Prepare complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, fiduciary, and business entities including C-corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, and Non-Profit Organizations.
• Prepare extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Fiduciary, Non-Profit).
• Prepare and review compiled and reviewed financial statements for Corporations, Not for Profit entities, and Partnerships, including workpapers, accounting and adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, and client books and records.
• Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax matters.
• Assist with financial statement audits including planning the audits and assisting with preparation of financial statements.

​ Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial concepts
• Proficiency in accounting software and double entry bookkeeping
• Experience with financial report writing and interpretation
• Experience with preparing all types of tax returns with a public CPA firm or private company
• Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience in Oregon municipal and non-profit audits is a plus
• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus
