We are seeking an experienced Unarmed Special Police Officer (SPO) to join our team at a prestigious location near the White House. This role requires significant experience in restaurant settings and exceptional customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in security or law enforcement, with a strong preference for ex-police or military personnel.

Position Overview:
As an Unarmed Special Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service. You will act as a liaison and work closely with local law enforcement and the Secret Service as necessary. Customer service and de-escalation skills are paramount in this role, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all patrons. Officers are required to wear a suit while on duty to maintain a professional appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, patrons, and staff.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring the safety of customers, employees, and visitors.
• Collaborate with local police and Secret Service as required.
• Assist in de-escalating potential conflicts and manage difficult situations with professionalism.
• Enforce site-specific policies and ensure compliance with all security protocols.
• Provide a visible security presence to deter and respond to incidents as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all security-related activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid DC Unarmed SPO License.
• At least 10 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Significant experience in a restaurant environment.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to de-escalate situations calmly and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively with law enforcement and other security agencies.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Must be flexible with working hours, particularly late nights.
• Must wear a suit while on duty to maintain a professional appearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a police officer or in military service.
• Familiarity with security operations near high-profile locations such as the White House.
