Senior BSA - Source/Transactional Systems Location: Beaverton, OR Hybrid: Mon – Thurs in office, Fri remote Target Start Date: February 2025 Contract End Date: May 2025 (potential to extend) Pay: up to $70/hr Job Description: Our team's function is focused on making location a strategic advantage for the company, leveraging location-based processes, technology and data to deliver on operational and strategic goals. We are seeking a Senior Transactional Business System Analyst who will provide business process analysis, transactional system analysis, documentation and updates for GPS technology. This role will focus on project work specific to our master data management program, an effort to ensure governed and quality data is being created by our technology based on our business processes. Day-to-day responsibilities: Drive/clarify business processes for technology system work. Define and document use cases and business process flow for functional systems. Create / Update technical documentation and system diagrams for GPS technology solutions and integrations. Improve operational efficiencies through technology. Marry business processes to systems architecture design to direct business process evolution. Prioritize and manage backlog in tight coordination with the Product Manager(s), who will set release scope and prioritize key deliverables. Perform reverse systems analysis to understand and evolve an existing transactional solution. Configure transactional systems. Become a subject matter expert for our transactional systems and work with our analytics infrastructure team towards the egress of data from technology solutions to analytics solutions. Key Deliverables: Business process flow diagram Use case document Business requirement document Functional requirement document System landscapes Source to Target Mappings Test Cases for functional, scenario and user acceptance Data Dictionary (business and technical) Input to guidelines, data governance structure, and standards Input to Data Quality & Audit process and standards Analysis of data validation and cleansing in systems A successful Contractor will: Have excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into clear, precise and easy-to-read functional specifications. Meet the deliverables assigned (such as key deliverables mentioned above). Be able to work independently. Be detailed oriented and focus on doing it right the first time. Embrace and understand Agile methodology. Embrace and learn new transactional technology (need to be a technologist) Understand how to navigate in grey areas (not everything is clearly defined). Adjust to new stakeholders when they are identified (e.g. during intake/requirements gathering). Learn with architect and engineers as we engage in new technology platform/architecture conversations or updates to current technology stacks. Work across a solutions team that is a mix of teammates from differing functions and located in different places around the world. Ensure accountability for teammates and themselves. Work with the team to meet goals (team player). Communicate early and often when clarity is needed (not make assumptions).
