Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher for Upcoming 24/25 School year

ProCare Therapy is actively seeking a qualified DHH Teacherlooking to join one of our trusted school districts for the 2024-2025 school year. At ProCare Therapy our mission is to make life better for those who make lives better.

Position: Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher
Location: Oakland, Ca
Duration: 32.5hours per week; FULLTime
Caseload: PreK and Elementary School

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with hearing impairments.
• Provide direct instruction in various settings.
• Use diverse teaching strategies and technologies.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families.
• Conduct assessments and adjust instruction.
• Advocate for student needs and provide resources.
• Stay updated on best practices and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or related field.
• Valid California teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Strong understanding of hearing impairments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with diverse student needs preferred.
