RN Mother/Baby (Postpartum Nurse)

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Postpartum Nurse (RN Mother/Baby) to join our team in providing specialized care for new mothers and their babies immediately following childbirth. In this role, you will assess the physical and emotional needs of both the mother and baby, provide education on infant care, monitor the mother's recovery, and ensure the health and well-being of the newborn.

• Contractor position with a 3-month duration.
• Monday to Friday schedule with consistent hours (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM).
• Located in Providence, RI, allowing you to work onsite in a reputable healthcare environment.
• Reward bonus of $6.88/hr on top of base pay.

What youll be doing:

• Providing comprehensive physical and emotional care to postpartum mothers and their newborns.
• Monitoring vital signs of both mother and baby, responding with appropriate interventions.
• Offering patient education on infant care, including breastfeeding and bottle feeding.
• Supporting new parents by answering their questions and offering advice on newborn care.
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Documenting patient progress and communicating updates to physicians.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 5 years of experience in Mother/Baby or Postpartum care.
• Ability to provide both physical and emotional support to postpartum patients.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and support.
• Proficient in monitoring vital signs and administering medications and treatments.
