Job Details: Summary : This position is responsible for coordinating and tracking raw materials and products based on species, program type, grade, weight range, and quality. Key responsibilities include scheduling daily production, monitoring product positions, and coordinating all shipping activities. The role requires maintaining constant communication with various business units such as Production, FSQA, Materials Handling, Sales, Credit, Transportation, Customer Service, and Export Services. The coordinator will also monitor and manage shipping activities at external storage facilities, optimize the use of company production, storage, and shipping resources, and assist in scheduling forward warehouses, value-added production, and raw material sourcing.
The position demands sharp attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, a highly collaborative communication style, and a strong work ethic. The work environment is interactive, dynamic, and fast-paced, requiring a commitment to achieving daily and weekly performance expectations.
Responsibilities: Coordinate and track raw materials and products according to species, program type, grade, weight range, and quality.
Schedule daily production and monitor product positions.
Coordinate all shipping activities and maintain constant communication with various business units including Production, FSQA, Materials Handling, Sales, Credit, Transportation, Customer Service, and Export Services.
Monitor and coordinate shipping activities at external storage facilities.
Optimize the utilization of production, storage, and shipping resources within operational capabilities.
Assist in scheduling forward warehouses, value-added production, and raw material sourcing.
Prioritize and manage numerous duties, time-sensitive tasks, and communications simultaneously.
Build productive working relationships with Supervisors, Peers, and various team members across the organization.
Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements: (Please attach resume to application)- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 2+ years related experience required.
- Experience: 2+ years of industry experience; preferred experience in Planning, Operations, Sales, or Accounting.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using planning software tools; experience with Tyson's Product Availability System (PA) and Order Processing System (ORP) is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, is also preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Special Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, build productive relationships, and work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Travel: 1 to 3 domestic plant location trips per year.
This role is critical in ensuring the efficient coordination of production, storage, and shipping activities, contributing to the overall success of the production planning team.
