Position Details: Client: Banking Job Title: Finance Data Product Owner Location: New York, NY (10013) - Hybrid Duration: 6 Months + Possible Extension Schedule: Shift hours: Basic Business Hours Start Date: ASAP About the Role: - The Finance Product Data Owner is a mid-to-senior level professional role responsible for a set of financial product aligned data within the Finance Data organizational structure. The role involves ensuring data compliance with Regulations, Laws, and bank Policies, Standards & Procedures to manage bank data risk.
- The individual will collaborate with internal data governance stakeholders and business/function stakeholders to drive data quality remediation efforts and promote a data-informed culture within the organization.
Responsibilities: - Engage with senior stakeholders across lines of business and functions to develop and execute suitable solutions for identified data quality issues.
- Identify end-to-end data flow, including upstream areas that create and/or consume product data to support data quality remediation efforts.
- Understand the Finance function and regulatory reporting to effectively engage data consumers on end-to-end data flows and critical data elements.
- Gather, coordinate, document, and translate data requirements between consumers and providers aligned with data standards and data process risk.
- Remediate Data Concerns, including dispositioning and monitoring fixes through bank Data/Issue management process.
- Create effective presentations for various audiences, including the bank Board, Executive Management Team, and partners.
- Analyze large sets of data in Excel to provide updates on product data population, Data Concerns, critical data elements, and other metrics.
- Support Product Data Lead with execution of key deliverables including Consent Order and regulatory commitments.
- Lead meetings and working sessions to solve issues, challenges, and risks by considering input from partners and diverse points of view.
- Escalate potential barriers to timely execution, communicate risks, and plans to mitigate issues.
- Prepare and present status updates, issues, challenges, risks, and solutions to stakeholders and partners in business and technology data teams.
- Monitor metrics and key performance indicators associated with Data Quality and Controls.
- Facilitate execution on remediation of Data Concerns, including dispositioning and monitoring fixes.
Required Skills: - Strong understanding of financial products and data governance.
- Proficiency in data analysis using tools like Excel.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial data.
