*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and pharmacy regulations. This position requires a strong and aseptic techniques, particularly in acute and critical care environments.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
* Maintain medication inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and receiving shipments.
* Prepare IV medications following aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
* Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions regarding medications and their usage.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication management for patients.
* Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication orders, and patient information.
* Adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
*Requirements*
* Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; experience in a hospital setting is highly valued.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacy practices.
* infusion techniques and critical care protocols is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
