Job Overview:

The PPC Specialist is responsible for managing pay-per-click advertising campaigns across various platforms. This role involves conducting keyword research, designing ad strategies, analyzing performance metrics, and optimizing campaigns to maximize ROI. The PPC Specialist will work closely with the marketing team to align paid search strategies with overall marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Management:

  • Plan, create, and manage PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other relevant platforms.
  • Identify, create and maintain target audiences for each campaign, including implementing market segmentation where appropriate.
  • Develop and implement ad strategies to achieve the ministry’s goals, including increasing traffic, generating leads, and boosting sales.

Keyword Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-performing and relevant keywords for campaigns.
  • Analyze keyword performance and adjust bids to maximize ROI.

Ad Copy and Creative Development:

  • Write compelling and effective ad copy that aligns with the ministry’s voice and resonates with the target audience.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director and Content Strategy manager to create titles and descriptions that follow proper SEO guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create engaging ad creatives, including banners, videos, display ads and landing pages.

Performance Tracking and Optimization:

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and platform-specific dashboards.
  • Continuously optimize campaigns to improve key performance indicators (KPIs), such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and cost-per-acquisition (CPA).
  • Perform A/B testing to determine the most effective ad variations.

Budget Management:

  • Manage and allocate advertising budgets effectively to ensure maximum return on investment.
  • Track spending and ensure campaigns stay within budget.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on campaign performance, insights, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Present findings and strategy updates to stakeholders.

Industry Trends and Best Practices:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in PPC advertising.
  • Implement new strategies and technologies to keep campaigns competitive and effective.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in managing PPC campaigns.
  • Experience marketing for a church or non-profit organization is a plus.
  • Proficiency with PPC platforms, including Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Meta Business Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush.
  • Excellent understanding of keyword research, bid management, and ad copywriting.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Google Ads certification.
  • WickedReports Experience.
  • Experience with PPC automation tools and scripts.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and how they relate to PPC.
  • Familiarity with additional advertising platforms, such as Amazon Advertising or LinkedIn Ads.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript and WordPress.
