Service Partners has an opening for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team and enhance our business. The Outside Sales Rep acts as a business representative for our insulation and building products distribution division, while aggressively growing sales and promoting the Service Partners brand.

Summary:

Responsible for generating sales of our diverse range of commercial building products to prospective commercial construction clients. The Commercial Outside Sales Rep will play a crucial role in expanding our commercial market presence, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets through direct sales activities and coordination with branch support teams.

Essential Functions:
  • Identify and target potential clients within the construction industry to promote and sell our building products.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and industry trends to tailor sales strategies effectively.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying leads, qualifying prospects, and following up on opportunities.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features, benefits, and value propositions of our building products.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal sales team, branch management, product managers, and technical experts to ensure accurate product information is provided to clients.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their requirements and offering tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients, ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties.
  • Provide exceptional post-sales support, addressing client inquiries, concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets, contributing to the overall revenue growth of the organization.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Communicate and coordinate proactively with Branch Support teams to ensure effective and successful support of material sales and deliveries, driving customer satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Proven track record of successful outside sales experience within the residential and commercial construction building products industry.
  • Strong knowledge of both residential and commercial building products, materials, and construction processes.
  • Personable, enthusiastic, and engaging.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a disciplined sales approach.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Independently manage existing customers and prospecting activity in your territory.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills; both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse clients and build rapport.
  • Proficient computer skills to process and review dealer orders, requests and system generated acknowledgements.
  • Proficiency in using web-based software to manage leads, opportunities, and sales activities.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
What qualifications do you need?
  • 3- 5 years of successful outside sales experience.
  • General Contractor and Building industry knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of commercial insulation, building envelope, or building science is a plus.
  • Comprehension of construction drawings
  • Flexibility to cover a territory within a 250 mile radius and overnight requirements (Travel roughly 75%).

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Requires the safe usage of ladders.
  • Work is performed at installation sites or warehouses - may require climbing, stooping, balancing, kneeling, crawling, bending, lifting, driving a car or truck and sitting and standing for long periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Noise levels are moderate.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
