SUPERVISORY ORGANIZATION: Chaplaincy
POSITION TITLE: National Collegiate Missionary to the United States Military Academy

JOB SUMMARY NAMB will supervise and support a National Collegiate Missionary at the United States Military Academy (USMA) to accomplish goals in alignment with the NAMB Chaplaincy Team, SEND Network Collegiate Communities, and broader NAMB goals.
MINISTERIAL QUALIFICATIONS - Due to the ministerial nature and duties of this role a clear and compelling sense of God's call to ministry leadership must be expressed and in evidence. Ephesians 4:1, 11-13; Acts 13:2; Ephesians 3:8.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Primary Functions
- Engage military collegians with the gospel through personal evangelism and weekly teaching/preaching.
- Train cadets in obedience-based discipleship and the ability to reproduce themselves in the lives of others.
- Mobilize cadets to be on mission at West Point, New York City and abroad.
- Train cadets in foundational Biblical and ecclesiological theology that will equip them to connect to a Biblical Christian community quickly wherever the US Army sends them.
Secondary Functions
- Cultivate military collegians toward leadership as chaplains, missionaries, church planters and pastors engaging military bases and communities.
- Interface with military academy leadership as a representative of NAMB and the Southern Baptist Convention
- Develop a healthy and growing Academy Alumni Network for spiritual, financial and strategic support.
- Lead military collegians in short-terms missions to engage strategic SEND Cities and/or SEND Relief sites.
- Plan, advertise, and lead retreats at least once a semester.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree with preference to seminary level studies and three years of experience in related field.
- Experience in military chaplaincy ministry
