Job Overview:

As a Pool Repair Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing various components of pool systems to ensure optimal functionality. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in pool equipment repair, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Diagnosis and Repair:
    • Conduct diagnostic assessments of commercial pool equipment malfunctions.
    • Perform repairs on pool pumps, motors, filters, heaters, and other pool-related systems.
    • Identify and resolve electrical and plumbing issues affecting pool systems.
    • Guarantee that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures.
    • Ensure the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices.
  • Management
    • Order parts and manage inventory for Southern California.
    • Plan and manage all repair/construction and installation activities.
    • Assign schedules and evaluate cost estimates.
    • Ensure safety guidelines are followed on all job sites.
    • Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
  • Routine Maintenance:
    • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks on commercial pool equipment to prevent breakdowns.
    • Inspect and clean filters, valves, and other components to ensure efficient operation.
    • Lubricate moving parts and perform system checks for wear and tear.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues related to commercial pool equipment.
    • Develop effective solutions to address mechanical and electrical problems.
    • Provide technical expertise in resolving equipment-related challenges.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Communicate with clients to understand reported issues and provide clear explanations of repair procedures.
    • Offer recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.
    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pool Repair Mechanic or similar role.
  • Minimum Two (5) Years of Commercial Swimming Pool Service Experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of pool equipment, including pumps, motors, filters, heaters, and associated systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and plumbing issues related to pool systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex problems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage repair projects.
  • Clean driving record, Valid CA Driver’s License.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in pool equipment repair.
  • Experience repairing pumps, filters, and heaters is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications or training in pool equipment maintenance and repair.
  • CPO Certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual a plus (must be able to speak, read and write English).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
