Job Title : Locksmith and Access Control System Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Locksmith to replace existing cylinders with rekeyed cylinders in all Door Level Sets within the International Institute of Tropical Forestry (IITF) Headquarters facilities in the UPR Jardn Botnico, Rio Piedras, PR, and the IITF's Sabana Field Research Station facilities at 1 PR Route 988, Luquillo, PR 00773. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing security and accessibility in our facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Replace existing cylinders with rekeyed cylinders in all Door Level Sets across multiple buildings.
• Provide new keys and document a master key system for all affected buildings.
• Ensure compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for lever actuated doorknobs in commercial office buildings.
• Work in collaboration with our facilities management team to execute the project efficiently.
• Provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and transportation required for the project.
• Ensure compatibility with existing hardware and use products that meet current standards.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to safety protocols throughout the project.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a locksmith or access control system specialist.
• Familiarity with rekeying cylinders, master key systems, and ADA requirements.
• Knowledge of commercial office building security measures.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with facility managers and team members.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
