Position Summary: The Loan Closer will support and coordinate all phases of loan closing, maintaining an accurate closing schedule. Responsibilities include reviewing loan information for accuracy, preparing final closing packages for title, and ensuring all paperwork complies with legal regulations. The role also involves balancing the final Closing Disclosure (CD) with title, sending wire requests to warehouse banks, and supporting the Junior Loan Closer and Loan Funder during high volume periods.
Responsibilities: - Preparing loan closing packages and send the packages to title (Benchmark is 48 on avg per month)
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all required documents prior to sending to title for closing
- Managing and resolving any concerns, problems, and documentation issues
- Acting as an intermediary between all parties involved in mortgage loan transactions
- Ensuring closing details comply with state and federal regulations
- Coordinating mortgage closing proceedings
- Maintaining accurate closing schedules
Qualifications Experience: - Working knowledge of mortgage industry regulations for all states we are working in.
- Proficient with standard software such as Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to details, high degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to handle the pressure of a fast-paced office high work volume
- The ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of escrow, from opening to closing, is required
- Must have a valid driver's license and successfully pass a background check
- College preferred
- 2+ years of experience in mortgage closing
