Louisville, KY is looking to hire a
full-time HANDS Ongoing Home Visitor with bi-lingual fluency to provide family services to expectant parents or parents of newborns. Do you want a job that provides

This family services position earns a
competitive wage of
$15.00 for in-office work plus $38.00/visit or $48.00/visit. A retention bonus of $100 after 90 days and $200 at one year. If you have language skills, such as Spanish, you receive a
quarterly-paid language stipend of $1000 as well . We also offer

ABOUT HANDS The Kentucky Health Access Nurturing Development Services (HANDS) program is a voluntary home visitation program for any new or expectant parents. HANDS supports families as they build healthy, safe environments for the optimal growth and development of children. The main goals of HANDS is to ensure healthy pregnancies and births, child growth and development, safe homes, and self sufficient families.
HANDS supports families throughout their pregnancy and the first two years of the baby's life. Families meet with a HANDS parent visitor who can answer questions and address concerns about pregnancy or baby's first years. All families receive information and learn about resources available in the community for new parents. Some families receive further support through home visitation.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HANDS FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER As a professional in social work, you play an essential role in providing family services for our nonprofit. You are responsible for conducting home visits that provide expectant parents and parents of newborns in-home education and intervention services for those identified as high risk. Extensive local travel is required for this position with some of the time in the office but most spent in clients' homes. Incumbents must have the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings at times.
Using your expert training in psychology, you utilize trauma-informed, evidence-based practices and policies when delivering services to ensure your clients receive the best care available to them. You conduct home visits in order to meet the needs of both the program and your clients. You enjoy having a job where you get to make a difference in the lives of those you work with using your training in social work and psychology, which is why you are perfect for this position in family services!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HANDS FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER - Fluent in a foreign language
- High School graduate/GED and have experience in a social or other health related field such as but not limited to working with children, teens and adults in a daycare, medical office or facility, school, etc....that provides a medical or a community support service;
- OR 2. a licensed practical nurse (LPN) OR
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR a social or behavioral science or related field with one (1) year experience performing case management services.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A HANDS FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER This full-time social work position works a
flexible schedule that is usually based on parent availability. There may be some weekend and evening hours due to client needs but this position mostly consists of normal daytime hours. Also, our family support workers can work from home to prepare for visits and set their own schedule for those visits!
