Stanley Consultants is currently looking for a Water/Wastewater Engineer-In-Training 1 for our Muscatine, IA office.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Assist with engineering tasks such as collection and analysis of data
• Assist with collection system condition and capacity assessments
• Prepare preliminary calculations and designs of treatment processes, piping, and pumping facilities
• Check design computations and quantity estimates
• Assist with development of reports, specifications and plans for water distribution storage and treatment facilities, and wastewater conveyance, pumping and treatment facilities
• Assist with storm water runoff and conveyance analyses
• Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects
• Occasional field work and travel may be required

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related engineering program with an emphasis in water/wastewater engineering
• Ability to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and obtain Engineer Intern (EI) certification within 12 months of hire date
• Strong verbal communication, and organizational skills
• Well developed technical writing skills
• Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Possess EI Certification
• Basic knowledge in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit and/or GIS software
• Previous experience with engineering design and analysis software

Stanley’s Approach to Flexibility

While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!
