Our team combines creative expertise with industry knowledge to deliver innovative marketing solutions that drive results. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of SEO to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a technical SEO guru with a deep understanding of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google My Business, YEXT, MOZ, Page Speed Tools, Indexing Tools, and WordPress. This individual will play a key role in driving organic search visibility and optimizing website performance for our clients in the cannabis industry. The Director of SEO sits on the Strategy team and reports to the SVP of Growth Marketing. The Director of Organic Search/SEO & Analytics leads the SEO service that our agency offers. The Director of Organic Search/SEO & Analytics will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive SEO strategies that align with our clients’ business objectives. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing communications, and account management, to ensure the successful execution of integrated campaigns. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, B2B buyer journeys, full-funnel marketing, and the digital landscape. This role is hands-on and the Director will oversee the work from concept to execution, often implementing technical SEO best practices and SEO content strategy alongside the team. Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic search rankings and drive targeted traffic to client websites. Conduct thorough website audits to identify technical SEO issues and opportunities for improvement. Work with the development team to optimize website content, metadata, and site architecture for maximum search visibility and user experience. Monitor and analyze website performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other relevant tools. Provide regular reporting on key SEO metrics, including keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversion rates. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in SEO and analytics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between SEO efforts and overall marketing objectives. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional development. Lead the growth of the agency’s SEO department. Present SEO performance reports and insights to clients in a clear and compelling manner, demonstrating the value of our services and providing actionable recommendations for improvement. Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries related to organic search and analytics, providing timely and professional responses to their questions and concerns. Support business development team & client service team with sales presentations and upsell presentations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in organic search/SEO, with a focus on technical SEO and analytics. Proven track record of success in driving organic search growth and improving website performance. Expertise in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google My Business, YEXT, MOZ, and WordPress. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Experience working at an agency in a client-facing role and delivering presentations to clients.
