Party Fair

Location: Tigard, OR

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $19.25 - $23.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 34 – 36 per week.

***This is a Seasonal Temporary position that is hirirng immediately.

Expected Duration : 10/01/2024 - 01/06/2025

Party Fair is seeking Sales Associates who are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of Guest Service in accordance with our company's benchmarks. The chosen individuals will provide exceptional service to our guests.

As a Sales Associate at Party Fair, your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in fulfilling their party needs. This includes guiding them towards the ideal decorations, balloons, and costumes that meet their unique requirements. Additionally, you are expected to uphold a high standard of cleanliness and organization within the store while ensuring accurate cash transactions and timely restocking of merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver outstanding service by greeting and interacting with every guest, upholding company standards of excellence, and ensuring a guest-friendly environment.

- Stay informed of product knowledge, merchandise promotions, and advertisements to effectively engage with guests and optimize sales.

- Perform a variety of store maintenance tasks including merchandise replenishment, floor moves, and display upkeep to enhance the shopping experience.

- Adhere to all company protocols and guidelines encompassing pricing, signage, and loss prevention.

- Accurately execute sales transactions and maintain accountability for cash and payment media at POS registers.

- Relay guest feedback and requests to management to perpetuate an environment focused on continuous improvement.

- Execute additional duties as directed by management to contribute to the store's success.

Minimum Qualifications:

- A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.

- Demonstrated experience in retail (minimum one year required for retail sales).

- Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems.

Physical   Requirements :

The role necessitates the ability to communicate effectively with guests, alongside the physical ability to manage merchandise which includes the necessity to lift and move items up to 50 pounds. Accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Educational   Preferences :

- High school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

- Minimum of one year in Retail Sales is required.

- Prior Customer Service experience is preferred.

Work Environment:

This position is based at a designated in-person retail location. The associate regularly performs their duties in a variety of store areas, with a moderate to high noise level expected.
