Job Details

Seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Specialist to join a leading Systems Integration company in St Louis. This position is responsible for installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building automation systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Interprets controls drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Grasps fundamental HVAC concepts.
  • Maintains technical knowledge through training and review of product information.
  • Designs and programs systems using direct digital controls for comfort and energy efficiency.
  • Configures programs, graphics, and alarms for site-specific control systems.
  • Generates installation and as-built drawings, supporting system validation.
  • Provides technical guidance to the project team.
  • Utilizes hand tools and test equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Demonstrates effective time management across multiple projects.
  • Acts as a direct customer contact, ensuring satisfaction through issue investigation and feedback.
  • Involves occasional travel with flexibility for non-standard hours and weekends.
  • Undertakes additional duties as needed.
MUST HAVE:
  • 2+ years of building automation (BAS/BMS) or commercial HVAC controls experience
  • Willingness to be in the field locally at client sites roughly 80% of the time.
  • Possess an aptitude for electrical wiring and reading and interpreting wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following BAS systems: Alerton (preferred), Schneider Electric, Siemens, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or other
  • Tridium Niagara is a plus
