CNC Machine Operator

$18-19 /hr
to start - Temp-to-Hire Opportunity at a Growing Company in the Springdale / Tri-County area!
1st shift - Monday - Friday 6am-4pm - 50 hour per week schedule; Friday's are short days occasionally, depending on Production schedule.

 
Job Summary

Under direction of supervisor operate and maintain assigned machines in a production setting by following standardized procedures and work instructions
Is cross -trained on all machines in the department, may be cross trained on machines and equipment outside of department
Ensures the overall quality of parts coming off machinery.

Essential Functions

 

• Safely operate blade machine and other machinery and equipment used in the production process to create quality parts.
• Always follow safe lifting practices, including requirements for two-person lift, and/or lifting equipment.
• Cleans and perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as required.
• Regularly inspect in-process and finished parts to ensure quality and for defects according to work instructions and procedures.
• Perform quality checks using measurement tools.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment and adhere to all department safety policies and procedures
• Perform required part clean up including grinding or other finishing operations as specified by work order.
• Understands and follows ISO procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Understands how to read job documents and follow the shop work flow.
• Maintain production levels necessary to maintain supply and demand.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment. 

Qualifications

 

• Ability to read blue prints
  
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Able to use measuring tools including but not limited to calipers, tape measure, & protractors.

Physical requirements
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.

• Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on season.
